Super Senior Sunday Celebration PDF Print E-mail

Church

Having been called to Borden Church of Christ as your new pulpit minister I have
been supremely blessed beyond that which I could have ever imagined. One of the
great blessings of serving here with you is to see the Godly heritage being
passed on from generation to generation. Grandparents to parents, parents to
children, and then to grandchildren. I am truly excited that we are a
congregation that is comprised of expectant mothers, newborns, children, youth,
young singles, young couples, middle aged, older couples and faithful senior
adults. The seniors of Borden Church of Christ are now a blessing to me, just as
they have been to many others in this body of Christ over the years.

In recognition of their dedication and support of Borden Church of Christ, we are
declaring Sunday November 4th, 2007 as SUPER SENIOR SUNDAY.
We are going to take a special time to recognize and celebrate our members who
are 70+ years old. We wish to tell them how much we love and appreciate them, as
we take this time to thank them for many years of love and support of Borden
Church of Christ.

We are blessed with over 30 members who are 70 years old or older. We want to
take this special day to honor them. First we will take a brief moment during
the morning worship on Sunday November 4th, to recognize them. Then it will be
our blessing by serving them dinner following the morning service. All we ask
them to do is come as always and enjoy the day. If you are a friend or family
member who is not normally with them during Sunday Worship, this would be a
special day to come, as we honor them.

We simply want to say thanks to our SUPER SENIORS who do so much in the name of
our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ, for being a vital part of the Kingdom of God,
and for living out the Christian faith in and through the local church called
Borden Church of Christ.
