Dick & Janell Lewis Are Coming to Serve!
Last October Dick and Janell Lewis sent a letter to the Camp Board. Dick opened that letter by stating, “Janell and I have thought for several years that we might enjoy spending summers as a mission working at one of our youth camps. We would like to offer our services to serve at Woodland….” This is just one example of how the Lord provides for the needs of Woodland Bible Camp. Last spring the Camp Board had just begin a search to hire someone who could serve as a Grounds Superintendent. Now the Lord is sending Dick and Janell to the camp as volunteers. They have purchased a fifth wheel camper and will be staying out at the camp beginning in May. They will be responsible for seeing that light maintenance, mowing, and clean-up are done. They will also be doing some local promotional work and camp registration. Dick and Janell have also agreed to be directors for this year’s Senior Citizens Week. Thanks to the Lord for the Lewis’s willing heart.

Woodland Walk Is Becoming a Reality!
The picture above was taken at our 2006 Homecoming. A prayer circle surrounded the new Woodland Walk area. The walk is part of the camp’s $50,000.00 fundraising campaign that began in 2003. The walk includes inscribed bricks that donors to the campaign get for a donation of $100. The walk is schedule to be completely finished this spring. There are plenty of bricks left to inscribe. See the Woodland Walk page on this website to order a brick.
Invite Matt Abbott to your church to speak about
Woodland Bible Camp

Matt Abbott has been contracted by the Woodland Board of Directors to perform some promotional work for the camp. That means Matt will be happy to come to your congregation and share about Woodland's 2006 Camp schedule and how you can help Woodland fulfill its mission of helping campers discover God's wonders. Even if your congregation has not sent campers to Woodland in recent years, you still can help with it's mission . For fifty two years now, Woodland Bible Camp has been a great resource of Christian education and encouragement for all age of campers.
Matt is a active Christian and serves the Lord at Borden Church of Christ. He grew up and still lives near Salem, Indiana. After graduating from Salem High School in 1992, he went to Vincennes University. He has also attended Portland School of Biblical Studies. He is currently employed at Flexcel, a unit of Kimball International where he is a Quality Control Manager. Matt has done some fill in preaching at a number of different congregations.
When asked why a church should invite him to come to speak to their congregation about Woodland Bible Camp he said, “I think most church members don't know how beneficial Woodland is to those who attend. The camp deserves their support.”
